…in plain sight

…in plain sight is the third piece in a series that explores the notion of groupthink. A flock of Carolina parakeets* are perched, quiet, still, looking into the distance. This species, which was known to be gregarious and social, mutely strains to catch one’s eye - desperately trying to make a connection. Imploring us to engage with them, these parakeets confront us with what is lost, what we hide from ourselves and what is being made to disappear.
